How it works

By applying to be part of Scuter’s urban revolution and passing the initial screening on the project, Scuter will provide:

*The vehicles are provided, after approval of the Scuter Franchising project, through a long-term rental partner for a down payment and monthly fee, and are bound to joint use with the service platform and the terms of use defined with Scuter.

  • Exclusive for the assigned territory
  • The required vehicles *, with graphic customizations, registered, complete with compulsory RCA insurance and driver assistance. The vehicles will already be loaded into the platform, ready to be used!

How it works

Customers in your city will book the fleet vehicle and start the ride directly from the provided app, configured according to your needs, from where they will also manage all aspects of registration and management profile, and payments.

But not only: starting a city Powered by Scuter means entering a system of federated fleets and the critical mass that this entails. Registered customers will have automatic access to the vehicles of any location where the service is active without having to register again, increasing the use of local fleets and revenue of the licensee.

What licensees should do

Take care of the local logistics of vehicles, the relations with the Municipality, and pay the monthly fleet rent. Scuter will handle all the complexity (production and updating of vehicles, software and app platform, cybersecurity, data processing, online marketing, legal identification of customers, insurance policies, tickets and fines management, and payments).

The typical duties our local partner will have to carry out are:

  • Charging vehicle batteries at its own location (office, workshop, depot)
  • Battery Swap (Battery Swap)
  • Movement of vehicles, if necessary
  • Cleaning of vehicles
  • Notification of any extraordinary maintenance
  • Relations with municipal authorities (with possible assistance from Scuter or its partners)

City with 60,000 inhabitants

With many pedestrian areas, a historic center with narrow streets, and a modest public transport system. It has intense tourist or student attractiveness or an industrial district equipped with a port or railway station. Exchange parking for commuters in the suburbs.
In this case, 100 vehicles could be adequate to ensure good coverage to allow centre-suburban commuters and vice versa to find means available at a reasonable walking distance, tourists to be able to move easily even in areas not accessible to cars, and help all those who want to move faster without the waste of time due to congested roads and parking scarcity.

Island of about 20 kmq

A solid seasonal tourist attraction, with accommodation distributed not only in towns but also in the countryside, with roads not always in excellent condition and an inadequate public transport system. The classic island for which you book flights, B&B, and cars/ scooters to move and reach the beaches and areas to visit.
Around 50 vehicles should generate an excellent turnover, allowing both consumer and daily or weekly rentals. It is possible to enable free-floating rental or geofencing to predetermined areas to ensure the correct use of the Scuters and reduce operating costs. It’s possible to agree on solutions to reduce costs during the low season.

Tourist area including some municipalities

Small but with a robust seasonal tourist vocation, with areas between 50 and 150 square kilometers. In this context, tourist accommodation is distributed in the countryside. A vehicle is necessary to move and reach beaches and historic centers. The distances covered are always a few kilometers, on average 10-15km each way and up to 50km per day.
About 250-300 vehicles should be enough to generate an excellent turnover, allowing both consumer rentals and daily or weekly rentals. It is possible to enable free-floating rental or geofencing to predetermined areas to ensure the correct use of the Scuters and reduce operating costs. It’s possible to agree on solutions to reduce costs during the low season.
